Welcome to the Crime Victim Law ProjectThe Crime Victim Law Project is a comprehensive database that contains the text of state and federal crime victim statutes, case law reference, and legal commentary. The database is provided free of charge to the general public, and has been developed by the National Crime Victim Law Institute (NCVLI) in conjunction with the New Mexico Victims Rights Project.Currently, the database contains information ONLY for the State of New Mexico. However, future development will expand the scope of the database to include both federal law and state law for all 50 states. Over the last decade there has been a new interest in victims' rights, leading to a flood of legislation
and state constitutional amendments. The Crime Victim Law Project database provides "one-stop shopping" for lawyers,
judges, scholars and grass roots activists, as well as victims and their advocates, who seek to protect and
enforce victims' rights.
